Senior Manager

Mathew is a Senior Manager of Krys & Associates Cayman Ltd. with over 10 years of experience.  He has managed a diverse array of insolvency assignments in the Cayman Islands, both voluntary and involuntary and many of which are court supervised. Mathew has experience with companies ranging from complex investment fund structures, insurance companies, banks, and brokerage companies, to a variety of international holding companies.  A number of these assignments have included instances of fraud and required extensive investigation.

Nearly all of Mathew’s engagements have cross-border elements whether considering what legal actions to take in which jurisdictions, applying for recognition in foreign jurisdictions, cooperating with foreign insolvency representatives and courts, or collecting books and records abroad.  The issues with which he has exposure include, among other things, managing comprehensive third party litigation recovery strategies, facilitating processes to resolve complex areas of investor/creditor dispute, sales of operational subsidiaries/investments, and procurement of post-commencement financing. Independent engagements led by Mathew have also included business valuation and forensic accounting assignments.  

Prior to joining Krys & Associates, Mathew was employed as a manager in RSM Cayman Islands’ corporate recovery department and by McGladrey & Pullen (Chicago) and RSM Rhobson Rhodes (Dublin).
